Este festival de xadrez realiza-se em Purtichju ( Porticcio ), na Córsega, França, de 25 de junho a 1 de julho de 2016, englobando dois torneios : o Open International e o Open de jovens ( jeunes ). O Open International disputa-se  em 9 rondas, no sistema suiço, com o ritmo de jogo de 90 minutos para cada jogador terminar a partida, mais 30 segundos por lance desde o início do jogo. Ontem realizou-se a ronda 8, com os seguintes jogos e resultados nas primeiras 30 mesas entre 106 participantes.

Ronda 8 - 30-6- 2016 - 14h 30 m. Nesta ronda, os três líderes empataram, mantendo a liderança, com 6.5 pontos ; tendo dois deles se defrontado :  Daniel Naroditsky, GM, dos USA contra o ucraniano Alexander Areshchenko, GM. O outro líder, o indiano Deep Sengupta, GM, empatou com o sueco Nils Grandelius, GM .
